Dawn holds the positions of Full Professor at the Sobey School of Business, Saint Mary’s University and Adjunct Professor to the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dawn is the 2009 recipient of the World Technology Award for IT Software in the Individual Category where assessment was on her work in the research and design of online privacy software to provide users with control over their information. Previous recipients of the award include employees from INRIA, Stanford, UC Santa Barbara, Microsoft, and the co-founders of Google. Her teaching interests are diverse. Her recent graduate courses include electronic commerce and technology entrepreneurship with emphasis on the management of platforms. Her interdisciplinary research interests are in privacy and security management, web services, electronic commerce, information systems, technology architecture, and technology management. Dawn currently serves on numerous international committees, including as a member on the Research Scholarship Selection Committee, Natural Sciences and Engineering section of the Canadian Bureau of International Education.
Michael is a business creator and marketing professional with broad experience in commercialization, business and corporate development. He has deep experience in successfully executing green field ventures and special corporate projects and ongoing engagements for large cap public companies. Michael has extensive success in international and cross-cultural initiatives creating and building alliances and partnerships, as well as securing investors and customers in China, North America, Europe and Africa. He is presently the Regional Director – North America with EduLink China (www.edulinkchina.com) and a part-time lecturer in marketing for the University of Wales partnership programs at Huang Huai University and East China Normal University.
Darrell is an executive member of the RCMP who has focused his 25 + year career in the areas of Forensics, Corporate Management and Project Management. Before joining the RCMP, Darrell began his professional career as a mechanical engineer. After 14 years in the RCMP he obtained an MBA and leveraged that education by re-directing his career into the corporate management side of operational policing at the Division level, and later as the Management Services Officer for the largest RCMP detachment east of the Rockies. Darrell is currently working in the RCMP's Human Resource branch and is leading a large initiative to develop an in-service training establishment that will support 3000+ RCMP uniformed and civilian personnel.
April is a career development expert with over 14 years experience in career coaching, recruiting, entrepreneurship, education and training. She has developed and implemented innovative student recruitment programs while working for Dalhousie University, Innovacorp, and as a Principal Consultant with Talentlogix.
